For the time being, I am personally "making" each CD-R ......I adapted books....I burn 'em...print on the label ...etc...
These should be considered a "limited edition CD-R " and may even become a future C.I. collectible.... as I'm only willing to "hand make" just so many of these, before having them done for me.
These 2 Volumes have been adapted from print to a high resolution Adobe Acrobat Reader format ".PDF"
I decided to keep the "e" version book in its original format, in order to keep all page references accurate. So, all pages are "full page scanned images", not images mixed with text. The original master pages of the books were scanned at a high enough resolution to allow you to magnify them up to 250% and maintain clarity. They have been saved in an uncompressed image format, so no image data is lost from "compression" usually used for displaying images on the web. That's why they are such huge files.... ~350Megs/Volume. You can copy it to your hard drive (takes a few minutes, due to its size) and it really flies .. almost better than flipping the pages of a book, especially if you have a large monitor... just click on the link and you go right there. I think you'll enjoy navigating around these Volumes with Adobe Acrobat Reader.... I know I do. Now you can have all that Classics data at your fingertips while shopping online. Even for non USA Classics.
The better your system, the better the CD will perform. But for rapid browsing of a Volume, copying the entire Volume to your hard drive works wonders. Each Volume is ~350Megs, so the more ram you have and the faster your overall system is, the better it functions. Also the higher the screen resolution you use the better and sharper (though smaller) the images and text. If you have a very slow (old) machine or an old (4+years) laptop you won't get maximum enjoyment from this CD, but it should still work.
both Volumes are fully "Adobe Acrobat Reader" , "book marked" and "thumb nailed" for ease of navigation
By offering this CD-R, I can preserve the "continuation of availability" of this invaluable wealth of information for all future Classics Collectors, as well as those fairly new to "The World's Greatest Hobby", who have yet to read this masterful reference work.... and tap it's vast insight. This is a compact, economical and enjoyable alternative. Please treat it as you would a book.... it should not be in two places at the same time. I've offered it at a low enough price for every Classics Collector to buy their own personal copy.
If you are not 100% satisfied with this CD-R you may return it to me for a full refund, or replacement... I imagine one could easily be defective, as I currently do burn them myself.
But...... I'm sure you will enjoy it as a most informative, unique & affordable "Classics Collectible"... the first attempt at revealing both the history and mystery of "The World's Greatest Hobby" directly to cyber media. My humble contribution. Thank you for taking the time to read this page.... if you've gotten this far on the page I can only assume you want one for your collection.
** a future Classics Collectible** no collection is "complete" without one
