SHELTER THROUGH THE AGES was sponsored by the Rubberoid Co. it contained 16 pages of  H.C. Kiefer art, plus a nice painted cover. The cover replaced the Cl motto with an additional sub-logo, calling itself "Educational Series." It was just a way to put the Cl Logo on a commercial publication. I would estimate the known copies of the SHELTER to be about 20-30. We know about three back cover variations: igloo illo, house illo (shown here), and blank (yellow). These bc variations have had Little affect on value.

In 1953, the second so-called Educational Series title, a bio of GEORGE WESTINGHOUSE, was put out by the Westinghouse Co. It also had 16 pages of new art by Henry Kiefer, plus his new PC

Most of the known copies of the SHELTER and WESTINGHOUSE were found in the Cl warehouse when it was emptied out about 1975. if not for all those warehouse copies, these two titles would be extremely rare. But what was really significant about this WESTINGHOUSE title was that it had also been issued in French, Spanish, and Italian. No copies of those language editions have ever been found outside of the warehouse copies - six of each, There may be 20-40 known copies, of the WESTINGHOUSE.
